A Nip in the Air

Autumn continues to make it's presence known at Lowfields Farm.  It's an exciting time for me as it's the quiet before the lovely storm of the holidays.   There is definitely a chill in the autumn air which excites the dogs to no end and reminds us to get the wood ready for the fire!

The wind rushes down the river valley and knocks off most of the leaves...

Lovely autumn colors

The reds love the nip in the air!

This is an old apple picking box that my gardener in Raleigh gave me -
I love using it to store our fire wood outside of the door.
Especially when it's good cedar logs that smell so wonderful!
